Post- Fordeism: Party and Political culture in a perma-crisis age w/ Martin Forde, Ruth Lister, Jennifer Nadel, and Clive Lewis

Online

Last summer the Forde Inquiry reported its finding and recommendations to the Labour Party on the culture and behaviour of party officials in recent years.

Various leaks had exposed deep factionalism in Labour around charges of anti-semitism in particular. Over six months later, little if anything has happened other than the Party machine has ruled out many left wing candidates in selections locally and nationally.

So what did the Forde Report really say had happened and, more importantly, what were its recommendations to build a more tolerant and effective political culture?

Join us on Monday 20th March at 6pm for discussion on our political culture, within parties and beyond them, post-Forde. This event will be chaired by Emeritus Professor, Baroness Ruth Lister who was also one of the independent inquiry team.

Martin Forde KC who chaired the inquiry will be joined by other speakers Jennifer Nadel, Director of Compassion in Politics and and President of the US/Middle East Project Daniel Levy, and MP Clive Lewis.
