Compass Members are warmly invited to the join a Compass Labour Meeting on Feb 24th at 6pm with Clive Lewis MP.
Last year, Labour won a huge parliamentary majority, and there are an unprecedented number of MPs from left and centre-left parties in the House of Commons.
We’re seeing welcome change and opportunities for progressives. But this victory was brittle and fragile – we may be moving forward, but we are skating on thin ice.
Will Labour do enough to galvanise the UK’s latent progressive majority, and turn around the sense of decline? Will they deliver on their manifesto promise – change?
We’ll discuss our recent paper, Thin Ice, the upcoming spring spending review and Clive’s campaigns in parliament on water ownership and democratic reform.
Join us on the 24th Feb as we discuss the opportunities of the new government, the new alliances in and around the Labour Party we need to keep growing to galvanise the progressive majority, and the opportunities for Compass and the progressives across the country to influence Labour in power.
Join us for Clive’s perspectives on these issues, and to be part of open discussion with all Compass Labour members.
We look forward to seeing you all then and don’t hesitate to get in touch with any thoughts or ideas before then.
Compass members can register here for details on how to join the call.
