You call for an end to tax havens. I agree totally. So why don't we start with the biggest tax haven of all, by far, right under our feet, here in the UK, unmovable, unavoidable.
That is: The tax free income of Location Value from owning title to land.
Housing assets were worth £4 trillion in 2008. Owners of the titles to these locations receive a tax free unearned income from them over the lifetime.
I believe the tax free income from location value is around £150 billion annualy in comparison to the few hundred million in off shore havens? (0.2% or 500 times)
Are you calling for these UK tax havens to be abolished too? Or are you asking for their special exemption and why?
I'm happy to discuss this further. Email to set up a meeting.
